    Description

    The Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA) is seeking our next Director of Operations and Legal Affairs, this is a hybrid position 80% remote and 20% in the office. The ideal candidate should be a licensed attorney familiar with employment, contracts, and non-profit legal matters to coordinate projects with our outside counsel. Responsibility for managing association operations along with experience and finesse managing multiple complex projects involving oversight, reporting, and collaborative engagement with stakeholders at all levels. Additionally, an understanding of membership-based organizations, business development, and non-dues revenue generation is desired. This position will serve as the primary staff liaison to our CMS vendor (Member Central) with monthly updates to senior staff. As part of the Executive Team, attendance and participation in all Executive Committee and Board of Trustee meetings is expected.

    Responsibility and oversight for the following areas with direct reports from each department head.

    · Marketing & Communications, Vendor Agreements

    · Member Services

    · SmartLaw Lawyer Referral Service

    · Attorney Client Mediation & Arbitration Service (ACMAS)

    · Publications / Los Angeles Lawyer Magazine and Directories

    · Information Technology and Data Management

    This position reports directly to the CEO.
