Description

Job Title: DFSS Fiscal Auditor

Conduct fiscal audits by evaluating agency's accounting records and internal controls for compliance with guidelines.
Evaluate caseload, schedule audits, and conduct preaudit activities.
Communicate with agencies through email and phone.
Complete DFSS fiscal audit instrument and track audits using a software platform.

Location: Omitted

Shift: Monday-Friday

Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm

Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
Minimum of 15 semester hours in Accounting.
Minimum of one year of professional auditing experience.

Licensure, Certification, or Other Qualifications:

Valid State of Illinois driver's license required.
Must have a properly insured automobile with liability insurance coverage.

Selection Requirements: Candidates will undergo an interview and submit a writing sample for evaluation.

Preference will be given to candidates with:

Prior auditing experience with GAAP, federal, state, and city funding requirements.
Experience in data input and verification for accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, OneDrive, Teams, and iSupplier.
Previous experience in information analysis and problem-solving.
