Description
Responsibilities:
- To plan, perform and manage financial audits of nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and small businesses.
- To plan, perform and manage single audits of nonprofit organizations and government agencies.
- To plan, perform and manage internal audits and other attestation engagements.
- To assist in the preparation of financial statements for nonprofit organizations and small businesses
- To prepare payroll tax returns, sales and use tax returns, and income tax returns for small businesses, nonprofit organizations and individuals
- To assist in the maintenance and development of firm audit processes and procedures
- To supervise and train staff auditors/accountants.
- To assist in the performance of various other consulting projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Masters degree in relevant filed
- 3+ years of relevant audit experience (internal or external)
- Nonprofit and government accounting experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to learn quickly
- Strong work ethic and initiative
- Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, and Windows)
- QuickBooks experience preferred
