    Overview:

    Founded in 2005, the Texas Association of Charitable Clinics (TXACC) is a membership network of independent clinics providing quality healthcare to over 100,000 Texans.

    These nonprofit clinics offer healthcare services to low-income, uninsured, underinsured, and medically underserved individuals at little to no cost.


    About the Position and Company:

    The Executive Director (ED) role acts as the organization's chief executive officer, reporting to the board of directors for leading the Texas Association of Charitable Clinics.

    The ED contributes to the formulation of the organization's mission, goals, objectives, and related policies. Within this scope, the ED is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, controlling, and overseeing the staff, programs, and activities. This position requires residency in Texas and involves some travel.


    Responsibilities:

    • Organizational Leadership:

    Lead the organization's culture, talent, and staff development, creating an environment that attracts and retains high-quality staff.

    • Strategic Planning and Operational Execution:

    With the board of directors, drive strategic planning efforts, articulate the vision, and ensure the fulfillment of TXACC's mission and vision. Develop goals and initiatives for long-term growth.

    • Board Governance:

    Work with the Board to establish organizational priorities and strategies, maintain open communication, and keep the Board informed on financial matters.

    • Advocacy:

    Lead advocacy outreach to support charitable clinics with local and state elected offices in Texas.

    • Membership:

    Enhance member engagement by providing updates and alerts, conducting membership activities, and building relationships with clinic leaders.

    • Fundraising and Donor Management:

    Create and execute a development strategy to diversify funding sources, handle grant writing and donor management.

    • Public Relations:

    Establish strong relationships with healthcare leaders and organizations, serve as the public face of TXACC.

    • Financial Management:

    Oversee financial aspects, budgets, and reporting for a sound financial position.

    • Legal and Regulatory:

    Ensure compliance with all legal requirements, contracts, grants, and donor directives.

    • Technology:

    Ensure IT systems are updated and functioning correctly, including the website and communication tools.


    Qualifications:

    The ideal candidate should have a minimum of seven years in nonprofit senior leadership. A Bachelor's Degree is necessary, with a preference for a graduate degree and experience in free & charitable healthcare delivery. Knowledge of AmeriCorps VISTA or federal grant programs is advantageous.


    Job Details:

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $90,000 - $100,000 per year

    Benefits: Paid time off

    Schedule: Monday to Friday
