Payrate of $22.50 to $25.65 an hour (dependent upon experience):


  • Shift hours of 10p8a, 4 days a week, rotating weekends.
As a Supervisor you will...

  • Maintain a safe and therapetuic environment
  • Provides supervision of direct care staff performance. Supervision includes making/changing work assignments as needed,
providing feedback regarding on-the-job performance and relaying performance information to Program Director.

  • Provides crisis prevention and intervention services to the program by responding to crises as they occur and assists staff in
preventing crises where possible. Utilizes Safe & Positive Approaches (S&PA) intervention techniques appropriate to the d egree
of threat to the safety of the client and others, and in accordance with Devereux S&PA standards

  • Attends staff meetings, management meetings, and inservice training programs as scheduled.
  • Demonstrates a degree of understanding of and implementation of applicable external controls such as, but not limited to, local licensing authorities, JCAHO, and managed care procedures.
  • Observes and reports in a timely fashion noticeable changes in client behaviors and/or health conditions to the Program Direc tor
and/or interdisciplinary treatment team member (i.e. Nurse, Physician, Primary Therapist, etc.). M

  • Demonstrates ability to investigate, intervene and resolve complaints as well as seek appropriate resources to solve problems.
  • Corrects and reports per center policy, all irregularities immediately; records as such in shift log. Has access to oncall staff and fire, police, hospital, et al.

Devereux Pennsylvania Children's Services (DPACS) center serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), residential treatment (RTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.

Qualifications:


EDUCATION:

Bachelors degree from an accredited college with at least twelve credits hours in a human services discipline to

include but not limited to psychology, sociology, social work, education, pastoral counseling, political science, heath, recreation,

criminal justice, counseling; and a minimum of two years direct care experience; OR 60 college credits from an accredited college


with at least twelve credit hours in a human services discipline (as described above), and three years direct care experience.


EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of one year of supervisory experience required.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Significant amounts of walking, sitting, and standing. Some lifting and/or managing resistance

movements, normal hearing and vision. Occasional use of computers and office equipment.
