    Job DescriptionOverview

    We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated People & Culture Coordinator to enhance our vibrant team in the bustling city of Chicago. As the People & Culture representative in the US, you will you will play a vital role in fostering a supportive and dynamic work environment.

    The ideal candidate will have experience in startup spaces, possess strong problem-solving skills, be adept in data analysis, confidently manage multiple priorities, and embrace a detail-oriented and structured approach to their work. If you're a clear communicator, excel under pressure, and demonstrate a friendly, adaptive, and professional demeanour, we would love to have you on board.

    What you'll do
    • People Operations Management: Play a critical role in the administration of day-to-day people operations, ranging from onboarding new hires to facilitating employee exits. Ensure all processes are executed smoothly and efficiently.
    • Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor and analyse HR metrics to spot trends and areas for improvement. Prepare and present reports on key people metrics to senior management, aiding in strategic decision-making.
    • Employee Engagement & Culture Building: Assist in developing and implementing initiatives aimed at boosting employee engagement and fostering a positive company culture. Be the go-to person for coordinating company-wide events and team-building activities.
    • Policy Development & Compliance: Help in the creation and revision of company policies ensuring they comply with local laws and support an inclusive and respectful workplace. Stay abreast of legislation changes impacting HR.
    • Problem Resolution: Act as the initial point of contact for employee queries, confidently addressing and resolving issues in a timely and effective manner, while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
    • Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas for improving HR processes and practices. Adopt a proactive approach to identify and implement efficiencies within the People & Culture department.
    • Support the Head of People & Culture: The P&C team is small but impactful. The ideal candidate will be happy to roll up their sleeves
    What we expect
    • Proven Experience: Previous experience in a HR/People & Culture role, preferably start ups, with a track record of contributing to a positive work environment.
    • Problem-solving Aptitude: Ability to identify issues and find creative solutions to complex problems.
    • Data Analysis Skills: Proficient in analysing HR metrics and utilising data to inform decision-making. Experience with HRIS systems is a plus.
    • Exceptional Organisational Ability: Proven capability to prioritise, organise and manage time efficiently. Agile in adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
    • Outstanding Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to engage effectively with all levels of staff.
    • Qualification: in Human Resources at BA or CIPD Level 3,
    • Experience with HR Software: Experience using digital HR tools and platforms.
    • Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with Illinois employment law.
    • Adaptability and the ability to work autonomously.
    • This role is not remote and requires full time office attendance.
