About the Job and the Company

Overview

The role of Manufacturing Engineer at our company involves collaborating with the Engineering Group Leader to support the organization in achieving its safety, quality, and cost objectives. Your responsibilities will include evaluating equipment, processes, and operations to identify opportunities for enhancing safety, quality, and productivity. This position requires active involvement across various departments such as quality, maintenance, and manufacturing.

Main Responsibilities

Design and implement enhancements in machinery and processes focusing on safety, quality, and cost considerations.
Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Update engineering designs and process planning documentation.
Prepare spare parts inventory based on reliability and failure intervals.
Perform setup and process capability studies.
Conduct internal trial builds and run-offs.
Meet set divisional objectives within specified timelines.
Provide support in resolving complex machine issues.
Collaborate with design teams to enhance product design efficiency.
Create process plans and capital proposals for management review

Required Skills and Abilities

Ability to comprehend mechanical and electrical systems.
Apply principles of physical science effectively.
Read and interpret 2-D blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.
Utilize basic CAD software for design and layout improvements.
Apply problem-solving methodologies such as 5 Whys, SPC, Six Sigma, DOE, etc.
Understand product specifications and measurement techniques.
Possess intermediate computer skills.
Work autonomously and as part of a team

Preferred Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of Toyota Production System Principles.
Familiarity with various manufacturing processes.
Experience with HMI/PLC logic and CAD software.
Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD tools

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field.
Preferably 1-3 years of related work experience
