    The Director, DME Patient Intake and Billing, is accountable for directing and leading operational, financial, and team development for revenue cycle, encompassing intake, benefit verification, prior authorization, patient financial quotes, and billing operations.

    Responsibilities include establishing objectives, targets, and metrics aligned with strategic goals, developing standards, policies, and procedures to streamline operational processes, and driving improved financial results for the organization.

    Acting as the system owner of enterprise applications that capture, transact, and report on all Patient Intake and Billing business processes to stay consistent with the title is also a key aspect of the role.

    Collaboration with cross-functional leaders to align overall business objectives, goals, and strategies is imperative. Building, developing, and maintaining high-performing teams through fostering a culture of accountability, inclusion, and execution is fundamental.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES
    Maintain and enhance a high-performing revenue cycle team(s).
    Provide leadership and direction to both Customer Order Specialists and Billing personnel.

    Develop and execute plans to drive improved operational and financial results with measurable outcomes focused on conversion rate, clean claim rate, cost to collect, and collection rate.

    Design processes, operating procedures, and metrics for high-performing, efficient, and effective processes.
    Develop innovative solutions to allow scalability while mitigating expenses.
    Participate with cross-functional stakeholders on the Customer Experience Management center of excellence.
    Oversee a contact center and understand the related software to route, manage, and report.
    Make analytical decisions based on data and analytics.
    Understand and differentiate the analytics required for internal operations vs. customer experience.
    Promote a culture of continuous process improvement.
    Ensure regulated compliance processes and procedures are in place and followed.
    Develop and implement training to support newly hired team members, as well as tenured team members.
    Provide direction related to operational processes, general policies, service quality, and performance feedback.
    Perform other related duties as required.
    Hire and train the Customer Care and billing teams.

    Furthermore, information will only be released internally on a need-to-know basis.

    All Team Members will not discuss patient cases outside the office or with anyone not employed by this company unless they are directly involved with the patient's case.


    COMPETENCIES
    Experience in revenue cycle management.
    Experience in DME and recurring rentals.
    Knowledge of third-party payer requirements, as well as government (Medicare and Medicaid) program regulations.
    Demonstrates deep expertise in profession and industry best practices.
    Ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
    Demonstrates understanding of timelines and deliverables, ability to accomplish goals, and desire to execute and win.
    Strong analytical skills.
