    We are looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant I to join our Accounting team at Aerolase. In this role, you will work cross-functionally across the organization and solve complex problems on a regular basis.     Responsibilities:
    ● Act as the primary preparer in month-end and quarter-end close calendar, checklist, and reconciliations
    ● Take ownership and accountability over the preparation of financial statements, supporting schedules, and reports in compliance with US GAAP and relevant reporting standards
    ● Take ownership and accountability over accurate and timely financial reporting to stakeholders
    ● Assist with financial close tools to automate accounting processes where possible
    ● Assist with and prepare technical accounting areas including ASC 842 and others
    ● Develop and implement accounting policies as needed by leveraging technical accounting guidance and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to obtain relevant information for several departments and management
    ● Collaborate with external auditors, prepare audit schedules, and ensure on-time completion of such timelines
    ● Ensure proper accounting procedures, internal controls, and compliance with accounting policies and regulations,
    ● Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
    ● Prepare journal entries
    ● Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions.
    ● Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending


    You may be a good fit if you:

    ● Have 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in startup or high-growth environments with 2+ years of experience in a public company
    ● Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or equivalent preferred
    ● Exhibit strong organizational and time-management abilities
    ● Possess a keen attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
    ● Are a self-starter able to work independently and meet deadlines
    ● Have a knack for making accounting processes smooth and effective.
    ● Can figure stuff out on your own, whether it's from reading or watching tutorials.
    ● Care more about getting results than just putting in time.
    ● Are a stickler for details.
    ● Are energetic, always ready to act, genuine, and not afraid to jump into new things.

    ● o Concur
    ● o HubSpot
    ● o Salesforce
    ● o Netsuite / SAP
    ● You know your way around Excel at an intermediate level – think V-lookups, pivot tables, and smart formulas.
    ● You are knowledgeable about sales tax processes and rules.
    ● You are comfy with things like:
    ● o intercompany reconciliation
    ● o annual audits

    Strong candidates may also:
    ● Have experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
    ● Have the ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing the quality of your work product
    ● Be comfortable with handling ambiguity and working with minimal supervision
    ● Take the initiative to apply their knowledge of processes and systems and recommend well-considered improvements
    ● Exhibit knowledge of how to implement a change and good instinct in predicting its effects, and knowledge of how to "get it right" the first time
