    ATCS is seeking a highly motivated Traffic Engineer to join our team in Charleston, SC .


    T his is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days per week required onsite in the Charleston office and up to 2 days working remotely.


    Responsibilities:
    Apply broad knowledge of leading-edge transportation engineering principles and techniques to improve the efficiency, reliability, resilience and safety of transportation systems
    Analyze and document findings in technical memos, project reports and research summaries
    Utilize Excel, Synchro, VISSIM, HSM, ISATe, Cube and additional traffic operations to develop plans
    Prepare traffic design plans using Microstation or AutoCAD


    Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in a civil engineering required
    Valid Professional Engineering Licensure (P.E.) in South Carolina.
    Well versed in SCDOT standards, procedures, and specifications.
    10+ years of relevant experience with SCDOT or local DOT clients and projects
    Experience managing tasks, projects, and/or staff is required
    Ability to complete assignments with high quality, on time, and within budget
    Must have self-initiative to solve problems and to keep up to date on the latest innovations in traffic engineering
    Must demonstrate technical professional competency in traffic engineering and transportation planning as it relates to the safety, planning, engineering, design, and operational needs of transportation systems
    Additional

    Requirements:
    ITS Technology experience is a plus
    Experience with safety analysis techniques preferred
    Demonstrated capabilities with Microstation and AutoCAD graphic packages preferred
    Experience in multiple types off traffic studies, development of microsimulation networks and analysis of transportation data sets desire
