    Altruist is entering an exciting phase and is actively seeking a Senior Back End Engineer to join their Engineering team.

    Please Note: This role is a hybrid position requiring on-site presence three times a week at their Culver City office. Remote applications will not be considered at this time.

    What You'll Do

    • Take ownership and collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager, lead engineers, product, and business teams
    • Analyze and resolve complex problems across various user personas and workflows
    • Concentrate on developing and expanding services and user-facing web applications
    • Process and optimize financial data within ELT pipelines for enhanced performance
    • Perform intricate calculations to deliver consistent and accurate performance reports to users
    • Create and maintain scalable data pipelines and ELT processes
    • Establish new data integrations based on specified requirements
    • Conduct data analysis to identify and resolve data-related issues

    What You'll Bring

    • Over 4 years of experience in constructing scalable RESTful back-end services, utilizing Java and the Spring Boot framework
    • Proficient in SQL and NoSQL database technologies such as Postgres, Snowflake, and data tools like Airflow and DBT
    • Familiarity with caching technologies like CDN, Redis, and Memcache
    • Solid understanding of Docker/Container technologies like Kubernetes or EC
    • Experience in building cloud infrastructure on AWS or similar cloud platforms
    • Advocate for and practice automated testing, including unit and integration tests
    • Problem-solving attitude and the ability to navigate across the stack, from frontend to data layers
    • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field

    • Expertise in brokerage platforms and financial services
    • Full-stack experience with the flexibility to work with ReactJS, Typescript, and GraphQL
    • Prior involvement in a startup environment
