    TECH STACK: Java, Spring is a must, SQL, Tibco/Kafka - open to other messaging systems

    Understanding of distributed systems/framework is mandatory – caching & messaging techniques

    - Financial banking industry experience is a plus but not required.

    Grow your career as a Senior Java Lead with an innovative global bank in Jersey City, NJ. Contract role with strong possibility of extension. Will require working a hybrid schedule 2-3 days onsite per week.

    Required Skills & Experience

    • 12+ years of hands on development experience with Java, Microservices.
    • 3+ years of working as a Lead Developer on Java backends.
    • Strong proficiency in Java and Python.
    • Mut have experience with Big Banks/Fortune 500.
    • Experience running OpenShift.
    • Must have very robust understanding of design patterns and hand on coding skills.
    • Must have understanding of latest Java versions along with Executor patterns, Stream API, Lambda, etc.
    • Deep understanding of data structures and basic principles of Java.
    • Must have understanding of Linux, Bash and basic scripting along basics like Unix group, Hostgroup, etc.
    • Must have basic understanding of RDBMS vs NO SQL vs Columnar Databases.
    • Understanding of the file formats like Parquet, Avro, ORC, Iceberg, etc.
    • Must have very deep understanding of Agile.
    • Experience with CI/CD processing: Jenkins pipelines.
    • Understanding of Middle office or Trading knowledge.

    Desired Skills & Experience

    • Understanding of basics of Microservice Architecture, Containerization and Orchestration.
    • Understanding of Helm, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Gradle, Maven, etc.
    • Understanding of the telemetry specifically open telemetry, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.
    • Understanding of MQ and Kafka.
    • Big data platform – Hadoop, Impala
    • Understand sparq, sdfs.
