As we continue to grow, we are seeking friendly and energetic individuals to join us as Hosts and Bussers, ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests.


As a Host and Busser at Chat Genie Café, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensuring that the café is clean, organized, and ready to serve customers.


Your main responsibilities will include:

Host:


  • Greeting guests warmly as they enter the café and seating them at their tables.
  • Managing the waitlist during busy periods and estimating wait times for guests.
  • Providing menus and answering any questions about menu items or café policies.
  • Assisting with coordinating seating arrangements and optimizing table turnover.
  • Monitoring the dining area to ensure all guests are attended to and have everything they need.

Busser:


  • Clearing and resetting tables efficiently to maintain a clean and organized dining area.
  • Assisting servers with delivering food and beverages to tables as needed.
  • Removing used dishes, glassware, and utensils from tables and taking them to the dishwashing area.
  • Refilling water glasses and assisting with other guest requests as needed.
  • Assisting with basic cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and outgoing demeanor.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift and carry trays of dishes.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of coffee and café menu items preferred but not required.
  • Enthusiasm for providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences for guests.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, especially during busy periods.
