- Reviewing and drafting a variety of agreements
- Filing documents with government agencies
- Maintaining electronic and paper files for Legal Department
- Assisting legal counsel in drafting and approving contracts, agreements, licenses, leases, memoranda and related documents
- Assisting legal counsel in analyzing and summarizing legal documents, researching various laws from an analytical viewpoint and applying and communicating findings as appropriate
- Providing other general and administrative support as the need arises
- High degree of organization and efficiency with demonstrated attention to detail
- Superior ability to prioritize activities and meet all deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to research rules and regulations
- Strong understanding of contracts and of business organizations
- Able to make decisions quickly but also to seek guidance when appropriate
- 3+ years of experience, preferably either in a law firm or at a publicly traded company
- Oil and gas experience preferred
