    Job Summary:


    The Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing the full payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payroll distribution, maintaining payroll records, and providing exceptional customer service to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries.

    This role requires a strong understanding of payroll systems, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payrolls for all employees.
    Ensure all payroll transactions are accurately entered and processed in the payroll system.
    Calculate and process manual checks as needed for terminations, corrections, and adjustments.
    Maintain and update employee payroll records including earnings, deductions, taxes, and direct deposits.
    Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all payroll activities.
    Perform regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    Stay current with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
    Prepare and submit all necessary payroll tax filings and reports in a timely manner.
    Assist with year-end activities, including W-2 preparation and distribution.
    Address and resolve employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and discrepancies.
    Provide guidance to employees on payroll-related policies and procedures.
    Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate benefit deductions and employee status changes.
    Work with payroll software and systems to input and verify payroll data.
    Troubleshoot and resolve issues with payroll processing systems.
    Assist in system upgrades, implementations, and testing as needed.
    Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance payroll operations.
    Participate in payroll projects and initiatives as assigned.
    Provide training and support to team members on payroll processes and systems.

    Qualifications:

    Education:
    Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.

    Experience:
    Minimum of 2-3 years of payroll processing experience. Experience with ADP preferred.

    Skills:
    Strong knowledge of payroll practices, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
    Proficiency in ADP and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
    Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
