Responsibilities:

Managing and developing the team "Legal Commercial & Real Estate" in a disciplinary manner
Leading and developing the entire legal department together with other executives
Independently negotiating contracts with involvement of various departments
Providing ongoing advice on civil and commercial law matters and handling legal disputes
Providing legal support for international projects and initiatives in collaboration with foreign lawyers
Drafting contracts and documents
Coordinating with other departments and external consultants

Profile:

Completed degree in law, additional qualifications such as a PhD or LL.M. are desired
Experience in disciplinary or professional management of teams
Several years of relevant professional experience in civil and commercial law in a law firm or legal department
Ability to manage complex transactions and projects
Risk awareness and a strong economic and analytical understanding of complex relationships
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as strong analytical abilities
Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
Enthusiasm for trade and purchasing

The "Legal Commercial & Real Estate" department deals with all kinds of commercial law issues, including procurement (goods and non-goods such as services), logistics, product compliance and liability, retail media, lease agreements, and insolvency law.

This also includes negotiating contracts with large and small suppliers, landlords, and logistics service providers, as well as handling any legal disputes.
