    Description
    Suffolk County government's Municipal law firm team is seeking a trial attorney with experience in federal court practice.


    Must have at least three years of experience defending municipal law enforcement agencies and officers in Section 1983 federal civil rights cases.


    GENERAL DUTIES:

    • Attend depositions, court conferences and trials
    • Conduct legal research and draft motions
    • Draft pleadings and manage documentary discovery
    • Handle cases from inception of litigation through verdict or settlement

    ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Admitted to practice in NYS required and Federal District Court preferred.
    • Your submission should include your resume, cover letter and a writing sample.
    • Please note your desired compensation with your submission.
