The Administrative Coordinator I works under general supervision and provides administrative support for the Office of the Dean of the School of Public Health.

The essential duties include administrative, logístical, and facilities support. This role exercises of discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of significance.

Salary:
Compensation will be commensurate to the selected hire's experience.


Required Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two years of related experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Planning and organization skills

Responsibilities:


Administrative Support

  • Coordinates onsite parking, vehicle reservations, and vehicle maintenance
  • Oversees mail distribution for the School of Public Health
  • Participates in the planning and execution of administrative operations
  • May serve as the office manager
  • Monitors office procedures
  • Researches, interprets, compiles, and responds to inquiries about rules, regulations, policies and procedures

Facilities Support

  • Coordinates building space and repair requests, tracks requests to ensure followup and completion
  • Makes recommendations for process improvements, administrative changes, or new initiatives

Logistical Support

  • Plans and coordinates logístical and administrative support for events, meetings, or other special functions and provides onsite support (may include evening and weekends)
  • Performs other duties as assigned
