Job Description:
As an Accounting Specialist specializing in patient billing, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our billing processes.
You will work closely with our finance and administrative teams to manage patient accounts, process invoices, and facilitate payment collections.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate and process invoices for patient services, ensuring accuracy and timelinessManage patient accounts receivable, including tracking balances, processing payments, and resolving billing inquiriesCollaborate with insurance providers to verify coverage, submit claims, and reconcile paymentsReview and update financial agreements and payment plans in accordance with patient needs and organizational policiesConduct regular audits of billing records to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with regulatory standardsProvide support to patients and internal stakeholders regarding billing inquiries, payment options, and financial assistance programsAssist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes, including reconciling accounts and preparing financial reports
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field2+ years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in a healthcare settingProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong analytical skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsMedical billing experience is preferred
