    We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Community Manager at Hearthwood Apartments in Charlottesville, VA.The ideal candidate has an upbeat enthusiastic personality, is a team player, takes initiative, and is willing to work flexible hours as necessary to get the job done.


    Education/ Experience:
    A Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university or 5 years related experience in property management.

    Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook and have experience with property management softwareQualifications:
    An assertive go-getter with the ability to multi-task and deal with a fast paced environmentPossess an extreme attention to detail and ability to solve problemsDependable and flexibleAbility to recognize areas of improvement and work closely in a team environmentAbility to relate to people and enjoy customer serviceResponsibilities:Manage daily operations of the community including leasing, marketing, and maintenance activity
    • Manage the turnover and punch list process from the contractorsProvide a high level of customer service and connect with the residentsMarket properties via online sources, print advertisements, and through community outreach programsRespond to all rental inquiriesTrack prospects and report weekly/daily prospect reports to corporate officeManage accounts payable and accounts receivableExecute leases in accordance with corporate policy and VRLTA regulationProcess rent payments and manage resident accountsOversee maintenance staff in regards to work orders, unit inspections, preparing units for occupancyManage property expenditures in accordance with budgetExecute and manage renewal programsMaintain tenant files in a neat and organized fashionOversee all tenant communicationsPhysically walk and regularly inspect the communityPlan and host resident eventsPerform regular market surveys to make rent adjustment/concession recommendationsBe able to make a differenceCushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
