- Oversee a field and centrallylocated team directly responsible for assisting and supporting mixed finance properties with LIHTC requirements.

- Some onsite field presence required to conduct reviews of LIHTC files and compliance with record keeping requirements.

- A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and six years of satisfactory, full-time, progressively responsible experience in real property management, at least 18 months of which must have been in a managerial capacity involving the supervision of a large staff of property management agents and/or housing development specialists and requiring independent decision-making concerning program management or planning, allocation of resources and the scheduling and assignment of work. - A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of experience described in "1" above, including eighteen months of experience in managerial capacity; or

Education at an accredited college or university may be substituted for general work experience (but not for the 18 months of managerial experience described above) at the rate of 60 college semester credits for one year of acceptable experience up to a maximum of 4 years of college for 2 years of experience.

Description
The New York City Housing Authority seeks an Assistant Director for Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) oversight within Public Housing Tenancy Operations.
This position reports directly to the Deputy Director for Mixed Finance Oversight.The Assistant Director is primarily focused on supporting Property Management within the Mixed Finance portfolio (properties with LIHTC, Section 8 and public housing units) by ensuring NYCHA's compliance with LIHTC requirements and providing related training.
This is a critical position on a dynamic team that prioritizes excellent customer service, detailed LIHTC knowledge and an ability to anticipate and mitigate issues.
Responsibilities include:
Corporation, to conduct research, analyze workflows, assess operating procedures, and review local, state, and federal regulations as they relate to LIHTC policies and requirements.
