    Description
    Quatrro Business Support Services is seeking a Senior Accountant for their not-for-profit team. The Senior Accountant is responsible for servicing the accounting needs of our nonprofit clients, including finance statements, reconciliation, payroll integration, accounts payable, and other Quatrro services. The Accounting Manager works directly with clients to facilitate day-to-day accounting needs, including accounts payable, grant management, accounts receivable, and payroll. This is a hybrid role working either remotely from hoeor from client sites in the Chicago area.

    Responsibilities:
    • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of financial reporting and general ledger structure to drive accurate financial analysis.
    • Manage and process regular Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions efficiently.
    • Lead the accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes to ensure financial integrity.
    • Ensure timely reporting of monthly financial information for informed decision-making.
    • Execute monthly allocations based on time and effort reporting and oversee accurate payroll processing.
    • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and track expenditures and revenues by function, activity, and grant.
    • Support budget and forecasting activities while optimizing departmental procedures for efficiency and accuracy.
    • Collaborate with the CFO to ensure a smooth and timely year-end audit process.
    • Drive development and implementation of new procedures and features to streamline workflow.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and private grant compliance.
    • Contribute to team success by accomplishing related results and fostering a collaborative work environment.
    Qualifications:

    Knowledge and Skills:
    • Process Management
    • Proficiency in Financial Software (QuickBooks preferred)
    • Payroll Accounting Software
    • Nonprofit Accounting Knowledge
    • Budget Expense Tracking
    • Financial Analysis Skills
    • Grant Management
    • Microsoft Office Proficiency
    Educational Background and Experience:
    • 4-year degree in accounting, finance, or business with an accounting/finance focus (or equivalent knowledge/experience),
    • Ability to manage priorities and functions, excellent interpersonal skills
    • Advanced knowledge of industry-specific accounting software and advanced Excel skills
    • 2+ years of not-for-profit and grant compliance experience
    • 5+ years of Accounting experience
    • Experience managing month-end close process
    • Business acumen and ability to communicate with key stakeholders and C-level executives.
    A Plus:
    • Master's Degree, or CPA
