- Conduct thorough analysis of financial data, such as revenue, expenses, and operational performance, to identify trends, variances, and key drivers of business performance.
- Implement best practices in financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting to foster continuous improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements at federal, state, and local levels.
- Perform reconciliations, month-end close, year-end close processes, and maintain accurate journal entries.
- Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for meetings and external stakeholders.
- Communicate financial insights and recommendations clearly and concisely, translating data into actionable outcomes.
- Lead annual budgeting processes, liquidity planning, and cash flow analysis to meet financial objectives.
- Engage with banks for corporate services and other related matters.
- Collaborate with Headquarters to implement policies and foster relationships to ensure optimal tariff and commercial terms.
- Manage credit risks as per company policies and engage with insurance providers.
- Establish the Company's accounting and tax policies, identifying tax planning opportunities.
- Handle cash management and daily planning to achieve positive local interest outcomes.
- Primary contact for all treasury-related IT systems, like SAP Cash Management and SAP Bank Account Management.
- Support year-end audits.
- Undertake other assigned duties, including special projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
- CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with financial software.
- Experience with ERP implementation.
- Willingness to work onsite at our Chicago office with potential for hybrid work options.
