    Job Summary:
    On a daily basis, exercise independent judgment and discretion when performing associated responsibilities that are aligned and directed to the continued success of the department
    Provide exceptional service in claims handling to both clients and colleagues and act as liaison between client, carrier and producer

    Essential Functions:
    All claims handling aspects for all lines of coverage of assigned accounts
    Communicate with insureds, carriers and other necessary parties to monitor and track all open claims for assigned accounts
    Maintain and actively monitor claims diary
    Prepare claims narratives for claims reviews as requested
    Act as constant advocate and liaison between client, carrier and producer
    Request and gather necessary documents, information and data for analysis and understanding of complex claims
    Actively advocate on behalf of insured and work claim toward resolution
    Keep Director of Claims and Coverage Counsel apprised of trials, reserve increases, client issues, carrier issues, coverage questions and other important claim matters
    Attend claims reviews and client meetings when necessary
    Resolve day to day issues

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    Other duties may be assigned as required by business needs.
    Submit First Reports of Claims when necessary
    Maintain and actively monitor claims diary
    Responsible for creating claims notes, attaching emails and keeping organized files for each claim
    Monitor and address claims inbox and claims faxes
    Provide exceptional customer service
    Create and maintain RMS Service Plans in Salesforce
    Attend strategy meetings and provide claims input when necessary
    Analyze and review various insurance policies for coverage
    Review various contracts and bylaws

    Education and/or Experience:

    Required:
    Bachelor's Degree
    5+ Years of Insurance Claim Handling Experience

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    Computer skills and proficiency with tools such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and EPIC
    Strong Interpersonal, decision-making, strategic planning and problem-solving skills
    Experience with multiple lines of claims coverage and handling practices including GL, Property, WC, Auto, Management Liability, Personal, etc.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    Detail orientated with strong organizational skills
    Ability to work well under pressure
    Professional/Goal oriented
    Ability to work independently and in a team environment
    Must be flexible and have the ability to adjust to priorities

    Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
    Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment
    High Stress, fast-paced environment with a high volume of work to be completed daily
    Limited physical effort required
    Limited exposure to physical risk

    Supervisory Responsibility:
    No specific supervisory responsibilities, but frequently required to instruct Administrator on the submission of claims and which lines of business are applicable
