- Design effective methods by leveraging the latest algorithms, technologies, and vast amounts of data to discover new therapeutic targets and clinical strategies.
- Work with multi-functional teams to facilitate the identification of the most promising therapeutic compounds.
- Develop bioinformatics tools and pipelines, ensuring their alignment with the objectives of ongoing and future projects aimed at unraveling the complexities of human genomics.
- Foster a collaborative environment and work closely with cross-functional teams including clinicians, biologists, chemists, software engineers.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in bioinformatics and integrate new technologies and methodologies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Provide strategic input to senior management and contribute to the shaping and execution of the company's research agenda.
- Communicate scientific findings through high-quality publications, presentations, and reports.
- Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Statistics, Computer Science, Biophysics, Physics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral experience in bioinformatics research, preferably in a biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry setting.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Java, or C++ and Linux.
- Strong background in statistical analysis and mathematical modeling of biological data.
- Demonstrated experience in the development and application of bioinformatics tools and algorithms.
- Familiarity with genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and other omics data.
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
- Hands on experience in conducting research with large-scale biobanks.
- Creativity: Proven ability to think outside the box and develop innovative solutions to challenging problems.
- Can-Do Attitude: Demonstrated willingness to take on challenges and drive projects to completion.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze and interpret complicated datasets and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Collaboration: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.

Job description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to join our Bioinformatics group as a Senior Scientist II. The successful candidate will work within a fast-paced and innovative will work closely with scientists from other departments to discover and validate new therapeutic targets and develop novel algorithms and leverage all available tools to support research and development programs. The designation for the position will be commensurate with your educational background and accumulated work experience in the field.
