- Works independently as a healthcare provider in collaboration with a diverse health team to deliver comprehensive care to patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Responsible for assessing, diagnosing, treating, managing, educating, and coordinating care for patients with acute and chronic health needs.
- Ensures safe, effective, and quality patient care while supporting educational and research missions.
- Provides care within the scope of practice as per state laws and institutional policies.
- Clinical: Conducts accurate assessments, orders diagnostic studies, develops care plans, and maintains detailed documentation.
- Patient Care: Delivers patient-centered care, involves families in treatment planning, and incorporates evidence-based medicine into practice.
- Research: Engages in research activities to enhance patient care.
- Communication: Collaborates effectively with healthcare professionals, educates patients and families, and advocates for them within the healthcare system.
- Activities: Participates in education, meetings, quality initiatives, and interdisciplinary practice to improve patient care.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing school or physician assistant program.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in a specialized area preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications/Registrations Required: Must have prescriptive authority as per state guidelines.
Nurse Practitioners: RN and APRN license in State of Oklahoma
Physician Assistants: PA license in State of Oklahoma and NCCPA certification. - All applicants must obtain required licenses within 30 days of employment.
- DEA license, CPR certification, and relevant Life Support certifications are necessary.
- Demonstrates clinical expertise and proficiency in procedural skills.
- Possesses strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Shows accountability, professionalism, and ethics in practice.
- Must be flexible, resilient, and able to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficient in various software applications and willing to work a flexible schedule.
