Description
Job Description SummaryUnder general supervision, this position performs general office support for the financial aid department by assisting veteran students regarding the VA/GI benefit processing for the college. Performs routine and similar clerical duties requiring general knowledge of basic office systems and procedures in a high-volume area.
The incumbent will perform a variety of clerical functions/processes that are designed and directed by technical professional staff. Limited independent judgment is needed.
This position allows eligible veterans and their spouses to claim Veterans' Preference pursuant to Florida Statute 295. Certain servicemembers may be eligible to receive waivers for postsecondary educational requirements, in the employment by the state and its political subdivisions and are encouraged to apply for the positions being filled.
