Technical Employee (m/f/d) for the Machinery of the Opera House in Gilcrest, CO

We are a team of around 1,400 employees from over 50 nations and with the opera, ballet, and drama departments, we are the largest three-department theater in Europe.

With approximately 1,000 performances per year, we reach around 500,000 spectators. Join our team and help us create amazing stage productions in our opera house, drama house, and other venues.

Your responsibilities

  • Operation and programming of stage machinery during rehearsals and performances
  • Support during rehearsals and performances
  • Assistance with maintenance, inspection, and repair of stage technical equipment
  • Troubleshooting and resolution in collaboration with specialized companies
  • Creation, commissioning, and operation of special decoration components and effects during rehearsals and performances in coordination with technical departments and artistic production teams
Your qualifications

  • Completed training in an electrical or metalworking profession (e.g. electromechanic) or as a mechatronic, industrial mechanic, construction mechanic, locksmith, metalworker, specialist for event technology, or related professions
  • Reliability, enjoyment of teamwork, and ability to work in a team
  • Enjoyment of solutionoriented and independent work
  • Willingness to work flexibly (weekend/holiday shifts, rotating shifts, and shortterm changes in working hours)
