    We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our team You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records for our company.

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintains general ledger and all related accounts. Review entries to the general & subsidiary ledgers.
    • Responsible for monthly and year-end closing general ledger of assigned subsidiary including preparation of journal entries
    • Reviews inventory transactions. Verified purchase invoices with inventory transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principals.
    • Receives and processes vendor invoices. Verifies invoice for proper supporting documents and approvals. Enters invoice information into the AP system
    • Prints and mails checks once signed by authorized signatory. Reviews documentation for reimbursement of expenses for employees.
    • Receives and deposit collections from customers. Cash posts collections to customers' accounts. Prints monthly statements and mails to customers.
    • Receives and processes credit applications from customers in accordance with Company's policies & procedures.
    • Prepares quarterly payroll tax reports and other reports as directed by the Accounting Manager & responds to inquiries in necessary.
    • Prepares monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts, verify accuracy of bank statements.
    • Process payroll checks & distributes to supervisor. Set up employee deductions in the payroll system for employee loans, government levies, court orders, and other related deductions. Distributes employee copy of notices from government offices regarding the same as required. Maintains records of the same on employee files.
    • Helps employees with their questions on payroll checks and hours worked.
    • Verifies the invoices from medical insurance carriers and uniform companies to ensure that employees covered are existing employees or covered by COBRA, that appropriate deductions are taken from employees, and terminated employees without COBRA are deleted form coverage.
    • Performs other accounting duties as requested by the Accounting Manager.

    ​Qualifications:

    • Major in Accounting (Foreign Country Credential is Acceptable)
    • Two years experience in a related field
    • Computer knowledge
    • Detail and deadline-oriented
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
