    Description

    Akkodis is seeking a Connected Vehicle System engineer for a Fortune 500 automotive manufacturer.

    This is an exciting, long-term opportunity with an excellent working environment, team, and support.

    The role is on-site in Dearborn, Michigan.

    Pay range: $55.00-$65.00 per hour. Benefits are offered, and for those who may require it, sponsorship.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide technical leadership in delivering the Vehicle Software Update Solution, including all aspects of the delivery cycle.
    • Build technical specifications and documentation for Vehicle Software Updates.
    • Own the System Design and define the architecture by decomposing requirements into component responsibilities and defining integration points between components/nodes.
    • Release and manage Specs in VSEM/FEDE/JAMA.
    • Cascade and explain requirements to all Vehicle Software Update feature partners (D&R, Systems, Suppliers, Cloud, etc).
    • Perform early bring-up and prototype proofing and support incremental sprint deliveries. .
    • Sign-off on test plan correctness and completeness (demonstrating ultimate accountability for the delivery).
    • Performing vehicle testing related to Vehicle Software Updates using CAN and other tools.
    • Monitor Requirements fulfillment and track requirements deviations.
    • Participate in different project meetings, presentations and technical design reviews (TDRs).
    • Prepare proposals and other presentations for business and technical audiences.

    Experience Required:

    • Experience leading a team and driving forward ideas from concepts to practical projects.
    • Experienced with modern software development methods and Agile development techniques.
    • Ability to systematically resolve issues.
    • Experience with software engineering best practices for the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.
    • Familiarity with ISO standards 13429, 14229, 26262 and
    • FMEA/FMA Training/Certification.
    • Understanding of common microcontrollers and embedded architectures and peripherals.
    • 1+ years of experience in integration of AUTOSAR modules like MCAL, BSW, COM, RTE, SWCs.
