We are currently looking for a System Engineer (m/f/d) with a passion for designing, implementing, and improving stable and high-performing platforms for our clients, to join our team for diverse IT projects in Lincoln Park. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of modern open-source technologies, and our experienced colleagues will be happy to teach you anything you don't already know.

Your Responsibilities & Topics

Responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of virtualization and storage clusters
Planning, designing, and implementing virtual environments based on Proxmox and Proxmox Backup
Monitoring system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing optimizations
Developing and implementing backup and disaster recovery strategies for Proxmox and Ceph environments
Collaborating with other teams to integrate Proxmox and Ceph into new and existing infrastructures

What You Bring

Completed training and/or degree in computer science or a comparable qualification
Experience in the administration of virtualization and storage systems - preferably Proxmox and Ceph
In-depth knowledge of configuring and managing virtualized environments
Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Terraform, as well as version control systems (git)
