As the Lead Engineer, Technology Quality Assurance, you'll be responsible for coordinating technical tasks and ensuring teams are working correctly, overseeing the development/support of specific IT areas and systems and the timely delivery of projects.
You will contribute to defining new business requirements; identify and communicate risks to the business; investigate and propose new tools and frameworks to deliver quality products faster.

What you'll do on a typical day:
Coordinate technical tasks and ensure teams are working correctly; oversee the development/support of specific IT areas and systems, and the timely delivery of projects.
Contribute to defining new business requirements; identify and communicate risks to the business; investigate and propose new tools and frameworks to deliver quality products faster.
Act as a liaison between project management, technical teams, and IT leadership; assure best practices are defined and followed; drive consistency across applications and projects.
Understand end-toend business processes to identify opportunities for automation.
Create comprehensive documentation to outline mistakes and successes and refine processes going forward.
Devices/products/services the applicant will test and support: Jira, Oracle Transport Management (OTM) application, SQL Server, Postman (Tool used for API testing)

Task Coordination:
As a coordinator, this role ensures that tasks are distributed effectively among team members. This includes understanding the skills and strengths of each team member and assigning tasks accordingly. It's important to ensure that tasks are clearly defined, deadlines are set, and progress is tracked regularly.
Team Communication:
Effective communication is crucial for successful coordination.
This role will facilitate open communication channels within the team, ensuring that team members are updated on project status, deadlines, and any changes in requirements.
This can involve regular team meetings, status updates, and the use of collaboration tools such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, or project management software.
Risk Management:
Identifying and mitigating risks is an essential part of coordinating technical tasks.
This involves identifying potential risks that could impact project delivery, such as technical issues, resource constraints, or changes in requirements, and developing strategies to mitigate these risks.
Timely Delivery of Projects:
Meeting project deadlines is a key aspect of coordinating technical tasks. This involves creating realistic project timelines, monitoring progress against milestones, and identifying any potential delays early on.
If delays occur, this role will need to adjust resources, priorities, or project plans to ensure that deadlines are still met.
Overseeing Development and Support:
In addition to coordinating tasks, this role will also be responsible for overseeing the development and support of specific IT areas and systems.
This involves working closely with development teams to understand project requirements, providing guidance and support as needed, and ensuring that projects are delivered according to specifications.
Overall, effective coordination of technical tasks requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.By actively managing tasks, resources, and risks, this role ensures that teams work together efficiently and deliver projects on time and within budget.
What you need to succeed at RXO:
At a minimum, you'll need:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or closely related.
Experience must include six (6) years of post-bachelor's progressive experience as a QA Engineer or Automation Engineer and in all of the following:
MS-Excel & Databases with SQL
JIRA, Zephyr, Selenium Webdriver, Team city or Playwright
Creating test plans and leading test execution and defect management across functional streams
Reviewing project deliverables, requirement specifications, functional design documents and technical design documents
Quality assurance, establishing metrics, applying industry standard methodologies and developing new dashboards and processes to meet quality goals
Coordinating and leading QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally
Defining testing standards and strategies
Providing periodic test execution reports to project partners
Maintaining test evidence and other test artifacts for audit compliance
