    DVG will fund, develop and launch products, solutions and business models that improve care for patients suffering from kidney disease and related comorbidities.

    We are seeking a creative, passionate, and driven corporate development professional with a deep understanding of healthcare to join our strategic partnerships team.

    As part of this role, you will lead our strategic partnerships, R&D collaborations, and other investments, in device, diagnostics, tech-enabled services, and analytic products and other strategic areas.

    You will help drive growth through innovation, through a mix of organic and inorganic growth initiatives, will include investments and partnerships with both early stage and more established companies.

    The position is located in Denver, CO. Onsite, hybrid. Relocation assistance.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Drive market research and support sourcing efforts to help identify new investment trends and opportunitiesDeal and investment screening: call and/or meet with prospects, evaluate opportunitiesNetwork with peers at other strategic investors and within the broader health care ecosystemBe a thought leader, maintaining up-to-date knowledge on industry and technology trends, as well as attending events/conferencesLead due diligence and deal execution efforts for strategic partnerships, R&D collaborations, and other investmentsCoordinate, perform, and assist in full diligence efforts, leading management interviews and external research to evaluate team, market, competition, product, sales and growthEnsure proper diligence of regulatory and scientific pathways for a potential investment/partnershipPerform and oversee financial and valuation analysisDraft internal investment memosCoordinate with internal and external counsel on legal and IP diligenceCollaborate with DaVita stakeholders to build strategic investment rationaleLead and support deal negotiations with target companies for strategic partnerships, R&D collaborations, and other investmentsManage ongoing partnerships with other companies and ensure successful DaVita engagement in the development and integration of their productsGuide the direction of partnership portfolio and sourcing effortsWork with internal DaVita teams to ensure alignment to partnership goals and success of partner products and servicesBe a point of connectivity between portfolio companies and DaVita and support the development of customer relationshipsServe on partnership or portfolio boards dependent on partnership governance structureSupport portfolio company/product successBuild strong relationships within DaVita and the external marketNetwork and learn the guts of the DaVita existing business lanes to understand strategic priorities, initiatives, and strategic value a potential partnership could bringFacilitate involvement of subject matter experts in diligence and strategic assessmentsBuild and lead internal teamSupport development and engagement of junior team membersDevelop compelling career paths with junior team members to ensure engagement and fulfillment of junior team


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    Bachelor's degree required, hard sciences or engineering degree a plusMBA or other advanced degree preferredExperience in the healthcare industry required, a background in device or technology is ideal; investing (early stage and M&A) and deal experience strongly preferredClinical/Technical/Scientific background and understanding of regulatory pathways a plus to support investments in devices and diagnosticsDemonstrated problem-solving, quantitative, and qualitative analysis skillsUnderstanding of clinical, operational, and financial drivers that impact healthcare organization decision-makingIntellectual curiosity mindset and enthusiasm for the healthcare industryStrong communication (written, verbal, listening, and presentation) skillsHighly collaborative work-style, pragmatic, and resourceful problem-solverCapability and desire to build relationships and network within the healthcare industryResponds well to change and has a high tolerance for ambiguityApproaches work with an unparalleled level of personal ownership, responsibility, integrity, and ethicsDenver-based; Ability to travel requiredPersonal values in line with DaVita's values of Service Excellence, Integrity, Team, Continuous Improvement, Accountability, Fulfillment & FunHere is what you can expect when you join our Village:

    Salary/ Wage Range$133, $195,700.00 / yearCompensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
