    Description

    Medix is seeking an experienced Assistant Program Director to join a residential facility with a non-profit organization in Los Angeles, CA. This role involves supporting the Program Director in overseeing staff and clinical operations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Acts as the head of service in the absence of the Program Director.
    • Facilitates communication between administrative, clinical/program staff, and external agencies.
    • Supervises staff members, including providing clinical supervision hours for registered BBS staff/interns.
    • Aids in the development of clinical programs alongside the Program Director.
    • Recruits and interviews candidates for clinical roles.
    • Plans and executes clinical training for the team.
    • Assists in training and supervising new therapists and case aides.
    • Maintains thorough knowledge of DMH and organization's documentation requirements and service benchmarks.
    • Participates in educational seminars within the department.
    • Contributes to the establishment, upkeep, and assessment of policies and procedures.
    • Produces necessary reports and presentations.
    • Attends agency meetings for networking and information exchange.
    • Keeps the team updated on professional and community trends, issues, and requests.
    • Contributes to staff and treatment team meetings.
    • Supports other programs when required.
    • Works autonomously.
    • Provides on-call support for emergency consultations outside of regular hours.
    • Assists in crisis situations and facilitates client transfers when necessary.
    • Develops, implements, and monitors group schedules.
    • May conduct client assessments for placement purposes.
    • Recruits, trains, evaluates, and implements corrective actions for staff, in collaboration with senior management.
    • Performs additional tasks as delegated.

    Requirements / Experience

    • Master's Degree in social work or psychology from an accredited institution.
    • LCSW, LMFT, or licensed Psychologist - Eligible for clinical supervision training to oversee interns.

    Schedule:

    • Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
