    Basic Qualifications

    High School Diploma or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

    CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
    Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

    Responsibilities for this PositionGPS Source, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS), is a world class innovator and manufacturer of high quality, high performance position, navigation and timing (PNT) technologies for demanding defense and commercial markets.

    We currently have a need for a Configuration Support Specialist supporting our Colorado Springs, Colorado location.


    REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
    Provides both configuration management and data management support with some oversight and assistance from senior staffReviews engineering documentation, reports, specifications, and drawings to ensure integrity of the documentation prior to release or changeAnalyzes proposed changes in product design to determine effect on documents such as drawings, test specifications, manuals, and ensures all documents have required approvalsCompiles release packages ensuring all documentation is present and accurateControls changes to established master files of contractually required technical dataNotifies appropriate departments of any new or updated dataLogs, files and tracks all necessary drawings, documents, lists and various other itemsMaintains audit trails, contributes to internal and external auditsIdentifies inconsistencies with design, production, material, or program officeAssigns control numbers, and coordinates all approvals on documents, prior to delivery, so that documents can be tracked throughout the life of the contractProvides clerical support in logging, filing and tracking items in the data management libraryPerforms Status Accounting audits and provides status accounting reports to management for collection of metricsCoordinates with Contract Management on the preparation, approval and submittal of data requirementsInterface with Co-workers within the departmentEmployees and Management outside of the departmentModerate external contact

    Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasksStrong time management skillsFully proficient in the use of all MS Office Suite applicationsWorking knowledge of Product Data Management (PDM) applicationsStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenStrong attention to detailStrong multi-tasking skillsStrong organizational skillsSecurity clearance may be requiredNormally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignmentsWorks on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment and provide recommendations in resolving issues

    Note:

    The compensation information listed is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules.

    It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation.

    If performed in Colorado, this position has a salary range of USD $19.95/Hr. - USD $31.87/Hr.
