The University of Nebraska at Omaha is seeking an**Associate DirectorAccessibility Services[Monday-Friday 8am-5pm | $70,000-73,000/year, based on experience[To apply, please visit: [This position bears primary responsibility for overseeing allASCdigital access needs and services with focus on screen reader accessibility, remediation of course material, instructional design recommendations, and alternate format production. Determines and coordinates implementation of digital access accommodation needs. Also bears primary responsibility for addressing digital access challenges in the classroom up to and including coordinating meetings between faculty and students to better understand the challenges identified. Maintains knowledge of current trends and issues related to the field of Disability Services by active participation in regional and national disability and accessibility organizations. Develops, plans, and presents, campus-wide advocacy, awareness programming, and workshops, for faculty/staff/students/community groups.
Represents the Accessibility Services Center (ASC) on select University-wide committees and at events. Provides general oversight and support toASC staff. Serves as theASClead supervisor in the absence of Director.
[Communicates with professors, department chairs, and deans to align classroom implementation of accommodations with university policies and industry best-practices. Serves asASCtechnical liaison with IT, institutional tech, instructional design, digital learning, and academic affairs.
[In partnership with the Director, the Associate Director develops strategic guidance for accommodation plans and modernizing general accommodation services for students with disabilities. Implements and monitors strategic goals as it relates to disability services and best practices. Collects, Analyzes, and builds reports of relevant performance metrics.
[Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge and/or experience in providing reasonable accommodations as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the 1973 Rehabilitation Act.
Previous experience as a classroom instructor and/or presenter at the secondary or post-secondary level.Specialized experience in instructional design and digital access.
