Since the April 2022 merger that led to the formation of Fred Hutch Cancer Center, Fred Hutch has served as the cancer program for UW Medicine, and Philanthropy is proud to raise funds that fuel the adult oncology program on behalf of both Fred Hutch and UW Medicine.

Community Fundraising Manager
is a member of the Peer-to-Peer Programs team within Philanthropy's Experience & Engagement program and reports to the Director, Peer-to-Peer Programs.
The Community Fundraising Manager is responsible for growing and retaining a fundraising portfolio of passionate individuals and teams who host peer-to-peer programs in various communities and want to channel their passion and raise funds to end cancer and infectious disease.
This position is a hybrid role with a minimum two days per week at our South Lake Union campus.At Fred Hutch, all employees are expected to demonstrate a commitment to our values of collaboration, compassion, determination, excellence, innovation, integrity, and respect.
ResponsibilitiesPRIMARY/ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Collaborate with Philanthropy leaders and partner teams to develop innovative strategies and clear goals for peer-to-peer events and campaigns and implement programs/projects that deliver on those goals.
Collaborate with partner teams and programs to support Community Partner Events.
Build strategic and collegial partnerships to problem-solve and strengthen programs.
Manage engagement and strategic growth of external and internal stakeholders.
Document and maintain records for historical reference and analysis.
Establish, improve, and/or update procedures and processes.
Support Peer-to-Peer fundraising team in meeting fundraising goals and metrics for key P2P events.
Manage a portfolio of key individuals who host peer-to-peer programs.
Provide engagement and support to their events, champion their efforts and results and attend those who raise $10,000 or more.
Manage strategy for growing opportunities in the peer-to-peer space. Responsible for developing promotional plans and strategic growth tactics that result in increased programmatic goals.Share in the development of new peer-to-peer activities. Research and identify prospective new fundraising opportunities and community partnerships.
Cultivate relationships with communities and in to educate on Fred Hutch initiatives and develop fundraising opportunities with those potential new partners.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Five years of proven experience managing a wide range of internal and external partner and stakeholder relationships, including donors, volunteers, and volunteer committees.
Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.Highly developed organization and information management skills.
Ability to understand complex verbal or written instructions.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong attention to high level of detail and quality of work.
Ability to build relationships and work within a complex organization; excellent interpersonal communication.
Self-motivated, creative, and flexible.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 3 years of experience in fundraising, nonprofit, or related field.
Experience with Raiser's Edge/RENXT and Luminate Online.
Demonstrated knowledge of current peer-to-peer fundraising tools and strategies.
Familiarity with athletic fundraising events.
Skill in training and managing the work of others.
Ability to exercise professional judgment and confidentiality in working with prospects, faculty, and staff.
Success navigating a highly complex environment such as a health care, research, or educational institute.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $69,472 to $104,187, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
