    New Construction Solar Superintendent


    Location: NorCal/Central Cal
    Reports to: Director of Field Operations
    Travel: Hybrid (home) office and field role (mostly field)

    We are currently looking for a New Homes Solar Superintendent for our growing solar team

    Description:
    Responsible for quality and safety of solar installations and managing day to day operations of multiple projects. Building and maintain relationships with project superintendents and understanding requirements of new projects, jurisdictions, codes etc... Manage daily installation schedule for multiple projects to ensure customers' expectations are met.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage multiple project for multiple customers (New Construction Builders)

    • Ensure all company safety and quality standards are meet in all aspects of required work.

    • Perform daily site audits for upcoming work to ensure crews will be able to execute required tasks.

    • Ensure solar designs match field conditions orientation, elevation, north arrow, roof plane where solar will be installed is clear of all obstructions.

    • Perform inventory audits of crews truck stock and work with crew leads to maintain mid/max levels

    • Train crews on new products as needed as well as newly hired crews.

    • Communicate daily on all related field activities and provide daily updates.

    • Provide quarterly, monthly and weekly forecast.

    Skills:

    • Roof top over tile or comp, roof top TPO, roof top ballasted, carport, ground mount solar and battery storage installation

    • Must be able to read and understand solar blueprints and single line diagram.

    • New construction background helpful (preferred)

    • Good record keeping and organizational skills for tracking multiple projects.

    • Set up extension ladder to access roof and perform duties on roof.

    • Basic Computer skills Microsoft programs, Excel

    • Ability to solve problems, resolve situations while managing customer relationships.

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years solar installation and troubleshooting skills.

    • Project management of construction operations

    • Knowledge of new construction (preferred)

    • Knowledge of NEC section 690 minimum

    • Ability to manage multiple Crews and Field Technicians

    • Customer service skills
