    Job Description: Seeking a dedicated and skilled Construction Superintendent to join us and play a vital role in delivering outstanding construction projects. The ideal candidate will oversee project planning, execution, and completion on-site, ensuring projects stay within scope, timeline, and budget while upholding top-notch quality and safety. As a Construction Superintendent at J&L Builders, you'll work closely with diverse teams, manage resources, and uphold clear communication with subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders across various projects.


    Job duties:

    • Plan, schedule, and oversee construction projects on-site from start to finish, guaranteeing adherence to project specifications, safety, quality, and timelines.
    • Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers for seamless project execution.
    • Review project plans, coordinate scope of work, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
    • Monitor project progress, safety, identify and address potential risks or issues.
    • Manage procurement of materials, equipment, subcontractors for timely project execution.
    • Supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
    • Provide regular project updates to the J&L Project Manager, addressing concerns or changes in project scope.
    • Lead project meetings and facilitate effective communication among team members and subcontractors.
    • Evaluate project performance on-site against key metrics and objectives, implementing continuous improvement efforts.
    • Maintain project documentation, permits, as-builts, and regulatory requirements in the field.
    • Mentor and supervise on-site project team members and subcontractors, offering guidance and feedback.
    • Create, update, and execute a Microsoft Project schedule based on plans provided.
    • Handle RFI's, submittals, schedules for proper execution.
    • Work schedule: Full-time role, occasional weekend and shift work depending on project needs.
    • Other duties as necessary.

    Qualifications:

    • 2 years of experience as Construction Superintendent in commercial construction.
    • Solid knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and best practices.
    • Thorough understanding of Construction Superintendent principles and methodologies.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules, safety, and quality effectively.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
    • Proficiency in software and tools including Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Autodesk Build.
    • Exceptional organizational and problems-solving abilities.
    • Dedication to safety and quality standards.
    • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.
    • Physical requirements: Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
    • Travel requirements: Valid driver's license and insurability by the Company's insurance carrier. Travel within the Sacramento Valley Region.
    • Background check and drug testing mandatory.
