    **Strategic Buyer**

    Baltimore, MD / Client Services Supply Chain Management / Full Time **Company Description** When minutes matter, seconds count.     **Job Description** We are looking for a strategic supply chain expert to make a meaningful impact on Alertus, its customers, and the mass emergency notification industry. The Strategic Buyer will be part of the Operations team and will be a key player in bringing our mission to life. In this role, you will be responsible for the sourcing and procurement of Alertus day-to-day office needs as well as help manage Alertus product inventory.

    This is a crucial role where adhering to process and procedure is the key to driving/keeping operational costs down to allow for organizational growth. Our ideal candidate is an organized and savvy negotiator with a strong desire to win. + Perform a range of activities associated with purchasing goods (issuing purchase orders), materials, suppliers, and services based on established quality standards, availability requirements, and pricing constraints

    + Draft, solicit, collect, and analyze quotes from multiple suppliers to obtain the most competitive pricing

    + Negotiate through tactical procurement processes to achieve optimal savings and value

    + Follow the supply chain process and track orders from suppliers to delivery sites ensuring the smooth and timely flow of product

    + Assist with uncovering new suppliers and manage relationships with existing suppliers

    + Help identify problem vendors and escalate issues as necessary

    + Assist the Implementation team with sourcing 3rd party installers

    + Assist with inventory management and ensure stock levels are properly maintained to mitigate overall supply chain risk to the organization

    + Collaborate with other strategic buyer(s) and departments

    + Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related field

    + 3+ years of supply chain experience

    + Experience in electronics (PCBA/PWA/SMT) industry including commodity procurement is a plus

    + Expertise with Microsoft Excel and Google Suite Sheets

    + Experience with Salesforce (or other CRMs) ERP/MRP system experience is a plus

    + Strong prioritization and exceptional attention to detail

    + Negotiation
