SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Our client, a leading environmental services company specializing in emergency response, industrial services, and remediation, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team in Jacksonville, FL. This is a DYNAMIC role for an experienced accounting professional to join a building team with a close knit culture.

As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the accurate recording of financial transactions and financial reporting. This candidate will report to the Corporate Accounting Manager to drive monthly close, cash management, tax administration, and various financial analyses.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

Support the Accounting Manager with the month-end close process for multiple entities.
Prepare monthly combining and consolidating financial reporting.
Post journal entries and provide accurate reconciliation of accounts.
The Senior Accountant will assist to manage the expense platform.
Monitor tax compliance, including sales tax, property tax, and payroll tax.
Assist with delegation of financial responsibilities to staff accountants.

Requirements of the Senior Accountant:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or other related field.
Construction or manufacturing experience (+)
Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls.
Experience managing accounting operations in a multi-entity environment.
Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
