Our client is a leading Medical Billing company. We are currently seeking an experienced Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team in Goldsboro, NC on a full-time, permanent basis.
As an Insurance Verification Specialist, you will be responsible for verifying insurance coverage and benefits for patients, ensuring accurate and timely processing of insurance claims, and providing exceptional customer service to patients and insurance companies. You will work closely with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to ensure that all insurance information is accurate and up-to-date.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify insurance coverage and benefits for patients
Ensure accurate and timely processing of insurance claims
Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to resolve any insurance-related issues
Maintain accurate and up-to-date insurance information in patient records
Provide exceptional customer service to patients and insurance companies
Identify and report any potential issues or discrepancies in insurance coverage
Follow all HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective insurance verification processes
Keep up-to-date with changes in insurance policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in insurance verification, preferably in a healthcare setting
Knowledge of insurance terminology and procedures
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and guidelines
