JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION:
SITE SAFETY PROFESSIONAL**LOCATION: CENTRAL/NORTHERN INDIANA (Fort Wayne/Kokomo/Marion)


OBJECTIVE

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop and implement the sitespecific Jobsite Safety Plan.
  • Establish onsite emergency plans and offsite medical arrangements.
  • Organize and perform safety orientations for all directhire and subcontractor employees working under CCC's contract.
  • Develop the pretask plans with the help of onsite supervision.
  • Train onsite and subcontractor supervision in the safety observation program, implement the program on the job site, and communicate relevant information to all employees.
  • Assist the project management team with the completion of all incident analyses.
  • Organize and lead weekly Toolbox Talks.
  • Perform multiple informal daily site assessments to ensure compliance with all Federal, State, Local, and Site Safety & Health standards and document the results.
  • Set up and maintain all required safety documentation including Safety Data Sheets.
  • Perform additional safety training that may be required onsite, such as but not limited to: aerial lift training, confined space training, roof access training, cutoff grinder training, fall protection training, hazard communication training, etc.
  • Attend and professionally represent CCC in all required customer safety meetings.
  • Verify all employees' drug testing and safety training status meets the customers' and CCC's requirements prior to their starting work.
  • Maintain CCC Project Safety Board with required information.
  • Implement the use of personal protective equipment to ensure worker safety.
  • Other tasks or assignments as directed.

CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Minimum OSHA 30 certification; OSHA 500 or 510 certification preferred.
  • Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP) preferred.
  • Experience in Civil Construction Safety preferred.
  • Must be able to work independently to lead safety initiatives at jobsites.
