Duties:
- Provides comprehensive, up to date and evidencebased, prevention and behavioral health services to the Corps of Cadets at the United States Military Academy (USMA).
- Clinical interview and assessment, development of appropriate treatment strategies for typically shorterterm individual psychotherapy or developmental counseling.
- Clinical focus areas include promotion of resilient behavior and wellbeing, reduction of stigma and the negative impacts from the range of mental health issues and disorders.
- Deals with trauma, maladaptive eating patterns, crisis intervention, and understanding the developmental stages and challenges of college students.
- Performs adult psychological testing and competency in administering and interpreting psychological tests to communicate results, enhance treatment plans, and provide recommendations.
- Responsible for data collection and timely documentation meeting a high standard of care.
- Serve as expert consultant on psychological health issues, treatment plans, and prevention programs.
- Participate in joint weekly case consultation meetings to aid in treatment planning and dispositions for patients with elevated risk and medically disqualifying conditions.
- Assists as directed with prevention programs providing consultation, mentoring, and supervision.

- Applicants must be able to fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges.
- Applicants must be eligible for licensure in New York State.
- Incumbent will be required to provide phone based afterhour emergency consultation services for staff and students.

Basic Requirement for Clinical Psychologist:
Degree:
Doctoral Degree (Ph.
D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position applicants must also meet the following requirements:
Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes: 1. Providing behavioral health services to college level students; 2. Interpreting psychological testing; and 3. Providing treatment plans.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.Education:
