Olin Chlor Alkali Products and Vinyls, a division of Olin Corporation, is seeking a Day Staff Technician. This position will be located at Plaquemine, LA manufacturing site. In your role as a Day Staff Technician, you will be required to maintain your plant job certifications in order to provide Technical support to shift teams and to support the overtime needs for the shifts. When necessary, the DST can be used as emergency vacation relief/shift coverage to fill a position on shift while working their scheduled day.

Day Staff Technician Position Responsibilities:

SME Technical Support of Shift Immediate Response Leader (IRL)
SME Technical Support of Plant Start-up/Shutdown Coordinator
SME Technical Support of Shift Activity Coordinator
SME Technical Support of Training Coordinator and shift mentors and trainees
SME Technical Support of Technical Advisor
SME Technical Support and backup for Activity Coordinator/Gate Keeper for maintenance activities
Designated operations participant in formal day support RCIs and facilitate shift informal RCIs that meet facility triggers
Act as mentor and coach for shift:
- Facilitating conflict resolution and coaching shift team members on the appropriate resources to utilize to resolve personal issues.
- Assisting with ensuring area technicians know the right way to do the work (as defined by department policy, job procedures, standards, and work processes).
- Acts as a role model by exhibiting personal leadership and accountability.
- Assisting with coordination operation and staff engagement in job/project activities.
Use process knowledge and operations experience to assist in correcting issues and optimizing process and/or equipment.

Day Staff Technician Position Requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalent.
4 years experience in block process operations.
1 years at the 104 grade level.
Must have been certified in all process areas of operation.
Certified Immediate Response Leader.
Root Cause investigation training preferred.
Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license.
