    Description
    Job Title: Staff Accountant Position: Full-time Supervisor: Real Estate Accounting ManagerFLSA Status: Salary, Exempt Pay Range: $50,000 to $65,000 Benefits:

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
    • Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly closing process.
    • Prepare bimonthly accounts payable.
    • Contributing to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
    • Prepare tenant invoicing/statements, process late fees and communicate to tenants.
    • Maintaining documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and conducting internal audits.
    • Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.
    • Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits.
    • Assisting with CAM reconciliations.
    • Perform monthly sales tax reporting to state (if applicable).
    • Communicate with tenants regarding collection matters when needed.
    • Ensuring compliance with GAAP.
    • Assisting the Real Estate Accounting Manager as needed.
    Requirements:
    • Proven work experience in an property management accounting role.
    • Familiarity with Yardi and/or MRI accounting software and proficiency in MS Excel.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and analysis.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
    Qualifications:
    • Yardi and/or MRI experience.
    • Intermediate to advanced excel skills.
    • Work Authorization.
