Big Blue Swim School (BBSS) is a fast-growing, mission-driven company that aims to show kids they can do anything by unlocking their full potential in the water.
With 5 existing stores providing children's retail-based swim lessons throughout the Chicagoland area, the team is looking for a General Manager with a positive attitude, tireless work ethic, and an insatiable appetite for growth to take our Niles location to the next level.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the facility's training, scheduling, hiring, and performance assessment, including ensuring the facility is properly staffed at all times.
- Problem solve facility issues and customer concerns in a professional manner.
- Create a positive and fun learning environment for all students.
- Engage in continuous training opportunities for all staff.
- Oversee facility budgets, meet financial targets and implement revenue generating initiatives.
- Maintain proper pool chemicals and pump room operations.
- Ensure safety of patrons and staff in the facility at all times.

Requirements:
- 5+ years management experience leading large teams (30+ employees)
- Ability to provide high level service and create a strong sense of community for customer base
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
- Strong critical thinking skills and proactive approach to problem solving
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs. and be on your feet for long periods of time
- Must be available on weekends and evening/nights
