    Description

    Perform data management, analysis, and reporting skills to contribute to a variety of strategically important initiatives across the organization. Well versed in SQL, Excel, and other Data Files with the ability to create queries to extract data from multiple sources in support of organization programs. Develop and improve processes and best practices for data handling, cleansing, and maintaining data hygiene. Build best practices to ensure new incoming data is clean and accurate. Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a new reporting environment.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY

    1. Perform data quality assessment, data sources consolidation, aggregation, and other data manipulation using SQL statements, code development, or enterprise data management platforms.
    2. Ability to manage data within a complex database is required.
    3. Develop new and maintain existing data transfer processes and documentation from various systems.
    4. Develop expert knowledge of current DB architecture and ETL processes and recommend ongoing process improvements.
    5. Develop recommendations for data governance and business rules that will lead to improvements in data quality and follow those recommendations through to implementation.
    6. Develop, implement, maintain, and perform data hygiene for postal addresses, email addresses, birthdays, deceased, and other critical attributes.
    7. Establish and maintain best practices in data governance and appropriate data hygiene.
    8. Responsible for establishing and maintaining Taxonomy and related reference data.
    9. Remain current on new data capture and/or data privacy laws and the impact on the organization.
    10. Work closely with the Membership/Marketing teams to ensure new online forms are tested for accurate import of data, coding, source, and other necessary field mappings.
    11. Employ expert knowledge of SQL, Tableau, and BI applications to design, execute, and ensure the quality of automated reports, dashboards, and ad hoc requests for the marketing team and other stakeholders.
    12. Develop and maintain queries of various re-occurring and one-time-use mailing/emailing lists to support all marketing campaigns.
    13. Perform ad hoc analysis and database querying as needed.
    14. Other duties assigned as needed.
    RELATIONSHIPS

    Reports to Director, Data Management, Analytics, and Reporting.

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
    1. Bachelor's degree in business science, management information systems, business analytics or technology, mathematics, statistics or computer science or related field.
    2. At least three years' experience manipulating large datasets, using databases, and 1-3 years' experience with a general-purpose programming language.
    3. 3+ years' experience in database management, campaign management, direct and/or email marketing.
    4. 2+ years relevant work experience in data analytics and data quality
    5. Thorough knowledge of the principles of relational database, data hygiene, and data management.
    6. Experience with data discovery, profiling, cleansing, standardization, and data quality management.
    7. Working knowledge of a data quality processes, including transliteration, parsing, analysis, standardization, and data enrichment.
    8. Working knowledge of Master Data Management concepts.
    9. Experience with SQL Server
    10. Strong SQL skills and a deep understanding of table relationships.
    11. Proven ability to query data across structured and unstructured data sets.
    12. Strong analytical, problem-solving skills.
    13. Strong attention to detail balanced with the ability to think strategically
    14. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
    15. Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to effectively convey complex and data-related concepts to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
    16. Strong documentation skills.
    17. Understanding of reporting techniques, tools, and methods, 2+ years of related experience in database reporting.
    18. Experience with business intelligence/reporting/analytics platforms such as MS Power Bi and Tableau etc.
    19. Ability to work in a team and individual environment.
    20. Working knowledge of Google Analytics.
    21. Working knowledge of Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
    22. Experience with Address and Database Cleansing tools.
    23. Experience with CRM or AMS (NetForum) a plus.
    24. Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, Vlookup functions, index match, IF/THEN statements)
