    We have a dynamic opportunity for an experienced software application test engineer.

    You will be joining an existing team that is successfully delivering for our customers and will employ your talents to continue to solve key problems of international importance.


    This next chapter includes rehosting to and verifying the existing application operation on a new hardware platform and development and test of a new React front-end user interface and Java services backend using Agile Scrum methodologies.

    This position will be worked from sunny San Diego, California.

    Primary Responsibilities

    You will work with the team to ensure delivery of quality software using Agile Scrum development and test practices.
    Analyze capability requirements and collaborate with the technical lead and test manager to ensure verifiable implementations.
    Support identifying the testable acceptance criteria in user stories.

    Test existing capabilities delivered under maintenance and new React/JS front-end capabilities developed as part of user stories defined in the sprint plan.

    Support the independent test manager with development and execution of test procedures.
    Participate in sprint reviews to address testing results.
    Participate in sprint planning sessions.
    Learn the NATO application problem domain to contribute to technical discussions.
    Potentially support installation and user acceptance testing at the users' facility in Belgium.

    Basic Qualifications

    Position requires US citizenship and an active Secret DoD security clearance.
    Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
    Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of related experience.

    Experience in test plan development, designing and writing test cases, test execution, analysis of test results, creating and tracking defects, providing input to test reports including metrics.

    Experience analyzing test cases to determine if the test case is meeting a requirement and tracing the test case to the capability requirements.

    Ability to determine what regression tests need to be performed based on a new feature/capability being implemented.
    Understand different test environments.
    Solid written and verbal communication skills.
    Must be a quick learner and adaptable to change.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience with Solaris X86.
    Experience working in virtual machine environments.
    Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
    Knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
    Knowledge of test management tool Jira plugins such as Xray or Zephyr.
    Prior Top Secret security clearance or one in progress.

    Pay Range:
    Pay Range $68, $124,550.00
