Salon & Spa Coordinator Roamer
The Salon & Spa Coordinator ensures a complete "redefined luxury" experience for each guest from beginning to end. In
their support of Salon and Spa operations they ensure that the salon and spa is polished and inviting to guests by cleaning
and stocking throughout the day as well as ensuring all retail is consistently available for guests. They routinely provide
coverage at different regional locations throughout their work week based on business needs.
***CORE RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:***
Daily preparation of salon:
Opening shifts includes tasks such as unlocking the entrance, turning electronics and appliances on,
stocking/refilling supplies, conducting a visual standards walkthrough, and beginning any necessary
laundry.
Closing shifts includes tasks such as restocking and cleaning, finishing any necessary laundry, and locking
the entrance.
-Welcome and check-in guest
-Escort clients to changing rooms and place coats in coat check
-Support and maintain spa dressing suites
-Offer and bring each client a beverage of their choice. Maintain beverage counter
-Alert artists of lastminute appointment changes
-Proactively identifies potential guest issues and resolves any challenges
-Launder, fold, and restock linens/robes, operating machines to manufacturer's standards
-Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of salon lobby, spa lounge, restrooms, other guest areas, and retail shelves
-Stock & clean retail shelves and backbar
-Maintain product library and update merchandising (with weekly support from Retail Inventory Coordinator)
-Scan out professional product for replenishment
-Collect and empty trash receptacles
-Learn and explain salon and spa services, treatments, basic product knowledge, and current promotions to guests
-Checkout guests and schedule future appointments
-Confirm appointments with clients prior to arrival and proofread appointment books
-Manage lost & found
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:**
-Ability to provide a consistent level of service
-Previous customer service experience of any kind, particularly having to problem solve through guest challenges
-Proficiency with relevant technology and able to learn new programs as necessary.
-Organized, efficient, and able to multitask
-Flexible scheduling availability
-High attention to detail and accuracy
-Is a problem solver.
**DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:**
-Previous successful experience working for a spa or nail salon, or another luxury service oriented environment
such as an upscale department store or restaurant
-Experience with salon scheduling software
**WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:**
-Flexibility scheduling availability, as schedule may change last minute depending on location needs
-Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
-Work is indoors and generally in a low to midlevel noise environment
-Position involves frequent movement about the salon
-Must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time and move throughout the salon.
-Must have the ability to sustain tasks of a moderately physical nature (lift, bend, and repetitive motion)
-Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. Must be able to move heavier items up to 50 lbs infrequently with assistance.
-Employees should use proper ergonomic techniques to prevent potential injury.
**TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:**
-Reliable transportation to commute to multiple locations. The North region includes Lynnwood,
Bellevue, Redmond, & Seattle. The South region includes Tukwila, Puyallup, Tacoma, and Silverdale. Employees are eligible for
mileage reimbursement.
